CoinGecko and exchange spot data showed the later figure. A Binance spot quote at 4:43 a.m. ET (08:43 UTC) showed $2,312.26 and a 1.75% decline over 24 hours.
The snapshots were taken one minute apart. Each percentage describes Ether's change over a 24-hour period, comparing its price with a level from the prior day rather than with its price at midnight Thursday.
The separate readings report different prices and daily declines. They do not give a reason for the difference between the percentage changes.
