Coinglass put Ether (ETH) options open interest at $5.77 billion on Oct. 26, down 1.73% from the prior reading; calls held the larger share of open interest, while 24-hour trading volume totaled $655.37 million.

The total was down from $5.87 billion in the previous reading. Calls represented 63.14% of open interest, compared with 36.86% for puts. In trading volume, calls accounted for 59.21% and puts for 40.79%.

Calls had a greater share of contracts still open than of recent trading. That gap describes the mix of positions and activity, but does not by itself establish traders' market outlook. Open interest counts outstanding contracts; trading volume measures contracts traded during a period.

Binance's Oct. 27 $2,375 call led contracts by 24-hour volume. OKX's Oct. 27 $2,400 call and Bybit's Oct. 27 $2,430 call followed. Deribit's Dec. 25 $3,200 and $2,200 calls ranked first and second by open interest, followed by its Oct. 30 $2,600 call.

An earlier EconoTimes report on Ether options put open interest at $6.27 billion.
