Ether (ETH) options open interest increased 1.76% to $6.32 billion in Coinglass data for Oct. 22, while a Binance $2,400 put ranked first by 24-hour contract volume.

The reading was recorded at 7:21 a.m. ET (11:21 UTC). Options trading volume for the period totaled $1.40 billion. Open interest counts options contracts that remain active, while trading volume measures contracts traded during a set period. The previous reading was $6.21 billion, as covered in EconoTimes’ Oct. 21 Ether options report.

Among positions still open, call contracts made up 62% and puts the remaining 38%. The 24-hour trading split was 55.59% for calls and 44.41% for puts. The call share of open interest was 6.41 percentage points higher than its share of trading volume.

The largest open-interest contracts were Deribit calls at $3,200 and $2,200, both expiring Dec. 25, followed by a $2,600 call expiring Oct. 30.

After Binance’s $2,400 put, the highest-volume contracts were an OKX $2,440 put and a Binance $2,450 call. All three are due to expire Friday, Oct. 23.
