Euronext Paris halted CoinShares’ planned Zcash (ZEC) product before trading began Oct. 28, delaying another listed option for investors while a separate ZEC product already trades in the city.

An Euronext spokesperson linked the halt to “operational settlement requirements.” The spokesperson said the pause would last pending a new update from the exchange.

CoinShares said the planned exchange-traded product (ETP) is part of its CoinShares Physical range, is 100% physically backed by ZEC and carries an annual management fee of 1.5%. The company designed it to offer ZEC exposure through brokerage accounts. Investors would not have to arrange direct custody of the token themselves.

A 21Shares ZEC product is listed on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, where it began trading in September. Its 2.5% annual management fee is 1 percentage point above CoinShares’ planned rate. The existing listing gives Paris investors another exchange-traded way to access ZEC while CoinShares’ debut is delayed.
