Eurozone consumer confidence likely to remain solid in December

Euro Area's consumer confidence is expected to remain firm by market consensus in the month of December, rising modestly from that of its previous month's value.

Business surveys suggest that the job market is rising in Euro area, particularly in the service sector. Continuous low oil prices are boosting consumer's purchasng power.

"We expect consumer confidence to improve slightly, from -5.9 to -5.5 for November. This should allow consumption growth to remain firm over the coming months", says Societe Generale in a research note.
