Eversource Energy narrowed its 2026 non-GAAP earnings forecast, preserving its $26.5 billion capital plan as the utility pursues a long-term annual growth target of 5% to 7%.
The revised EPS range is $4.62 to $4.70, putting its midpoint at $4.66. Eversource’s long-term goal is for annual earnings growth to land closer to the higher end of its target band by 2028.
Lower quarterly earnings were partly associated with a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) decision setting the allowed return on equity for transmission at 9.57%. Eversource said calculations for related refunds are complex.
