F5, Inc. forecast revenue growth of 8% to 9% for fiscal 2027, below its 11% pace in fiscal 2026, as the application delivery and security company reported higher fourth-quarter sales.
Revenue for the fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30 totaled $917 million, up 13% from a year earlier. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were $4.42, compared with $4.39 in the year-earlier quarter. Diluted earnings per share under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) were $3.23, down from $3.26, F5 said in its Oct. 27 results release.
The quarterly revenue increase was 2 percentage points above the 11% growth F5 reported for fiscal 2026 as a whole. Product revenue rose 23% in the latest quarter, extending the company’s run of double-digit product revenue growth to nine consecutive quarters.
For fiscal 2027, F5 expects non-GAAP diluted earnings of $18 to $18.30 per share alongside its 8% to 9% revenue-growth forecast. The outlook points to a slower full-year growth rate even after the 13% increase in the latest quarter.
Chief Executive François Locoh-Donou linked customer needs to hybrid multicloud complexity, an intensifying threat landscape and artificial intelligence. The company cited those factors as part of the environment shaping demand for its application delivery and security offerings.
F5’s board authorized an additional $1.5 billion for share repurchases, on top of $322 million remaining under its existing program.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, F5 projected revenue of $875 million to $895 million and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $4.25 to $4.37.
