Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS) reported third-quarter revenue of $3.454 billion, up 27% from a year earlier, while pro forma growth was 3.7% as its Issuer Solutions Business affected comparisons.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, net earnings were $356 million, or $0.69 per diluted share, compared with $264 million, or $0.50 per share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share rose 6.6% to $1.61. Adjusted EBITDA increased 31% to $1.482 billion.
FIS said the acquisition of its Issuer Solutions Business led it to provide pro forma measures. On that basis, recurring revenue grew 2.5%. The release presents the pro forma figures alongside reported revenue to give investors another view of growth following the acquisition.
For 2026, FIS forecast revenue of $13.445 billion to $13.505 billion, adjusted earnings per share of $5.82 to $5.89, and adjusted EBITDA of $5.565 billion to $5.605 billion. The company maintained its free cash flow target of $2.15 billion to $2.25 billion, excluding cash transaction taxes on business dispositions, primarily the sale of Worldpay.
FIS reported $20.8 billion in debt outstanding at Sept. 30. It returned $248 million to shareholders during the quarter: $227 million in dividends and $21 million through share repurchases.
FIS said its debt-reduction effort prompted a temporary pullback in repurchases and a pause in tuck-in deals. It expects meaningful repurchases to resume when gross leverage reaches roughly 2.8x. The release did not give a date for reaching that level.
The SEC filing, dated Nov. 4, lists Items 2.02, Results of Operations and Financial Condition, and 9.01, Financial Statements and Exhibits. The earnings release is included as Exhibit 99.1.
