The Federal Reserve is scheduled to issue its next policy statement Wednesday as quarterly reports from Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon fall in the same week, putting a central bank decision alongside major technology earnings.

Amazon's company schedule places its results call on Thursday, Oct. 29, a day after Microsoft and Alphabet are scheduled to report, as outlined in EconoTimes' earlier technology earnings preview.

The Federal Reserve's October calendar places the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Fed's policy-setting panel, in a two-day meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 27-28. The calendar lists its policy statement for 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC) Wednesday, Oct. 28, and a news conference at 2:30 p.m. ET (18:30 UTC).
