SAN JOSE, Calif., May 08, 2018 -- FileTrail, a leader in next-generation information governance and records management software, announces its latest collaboration with NetDocuments, the leading secure cloud-based document, email and collaboration platform for law firms and corporate legal and compliance departments. The new integration between the companies automates the management of internal firm IG policies along with outside counsel guidelines, making them actionable and auditable to guarantee compliance.
The latest collaboration between FileTrail and NetDocuments uses FileTrail’s recently introduced Governance Policy Suite (FileTrail GPS) to automate the management of both firm IG policies and OCG for all content in a firm’s NetDocuments system, creating a holistic solution that guarantees compliance. Integrated with NetDocuments, FileTrail GPS manages policies around information from the time a matter is created throughout its life cycle. This includes views on the policies themselves, compliance information, trend reports around the data in NetDocs and how data looks in relation to its appropriate governance policy, offering the industry’s only complete IG management tool.
“Our goal in developing FileTrail GPS was to address the common challenge firms face of managing OCG as part of their overall IG efforts. Collaborating with NetDocuments allows us to achieve an integrated solution that maximizes the value of both our platforms for our shared clients,” says FileTrail president Darrell Mervau. “Together, we’ve built the industry’s best solution for life cycle content management.”
FileTrail and NetDocuments have long partnered to ensure clients have a seamless user experience between their systems. FileTrail integrations allow firm users to view physical records alongside electronic documents within their NetDocuments system, providing the ability to request retrieval, view volume series and much more. The newest connectors support streamlined retention and reporting to simplify RM/DM installations for their shared clients.
“Information governance is a main law firm challenge, so we are especially thrilled about this latest integration designed to help our shared clients reduce risk and save money while achieving their IG objectives,” states Leonard Johnson, NetDocuments SVP, Products and Partners. “We are thrilled to continue aligning our tools with FileTrail’s and working together to satisfy our mutual customer base.”
The collaboration between FileTrail and NetDocs offers a complete IG solution that guarantees internal policy and OCG compliance for any size firm. More information about FileTrail GPS and its latest RM and IG solutions is available on FileTrail’s website.
