In honor of Final Fantasy XIV's 10th anniversary, Square Enix has teamed up with Nagahama Roman Beer Company, unveiling three whiskeys inspired by the game's iconic realms, offering fans an immersive sip of Eorzea.
As players commemorate this monumental milestone throughout the month, they can now raise a glass to toast the occasion with a limited edition spirit inspired by the awe-inspiring continent of Eorzea.
The first offering in this exclusive range is the Final Fantasy XIV Amahagan Edition Ul'dah. Representing the bustling desert metropolis, this blended whiskey boasts a captivating complexity. Crafted by maturing its components in wine and sherry barrels, the rich flavors captivate the senses, echoing Ul'dah's reputation as a cultural and economic exchange hub.
Moving on to Gridania, the central city nestled within a sprawling forest, an unblended whiskey awaits. This spirit accentuates the essence of wood, leaves, and smoky undertones, effortlessly capturing the feeling of embarking on a serene wander among the trees.
Last but not least, the collection pays homage to the lively port town of Limsa Lominsa. Inspired by its vibrant maritime setting, Limsa Lominsa's whiskey delivers a peaty character reminiscent of the ocean breeze with a sweet and mellow finish. Aged in rum barrels, this grain whiskey showcases the town's adventurous spirit and notorious pirate influences.
Priced at 8,000 yen per 700 milliliter bottle, these exclusive whiskeys will be available in Japan starting October 10. However, fans attending the Final Fantasy XIV x Isetan-A Decade's Journey event at Shinjuku Isetan from September 28 to October 2 will have a chance to acquire them early. Additionally, discerning connoisseurs can secure their bottles through Isetan's online Moo:d Mark by Isetan store, which will open sales at 11 a.m. on September 28.
As Final Fantasy XIV enthusiasts worldwide commemorate ten years of immersive gameplay, these meticulously crafted whiskeys offer a unique opportunity to celebrate the enduring legacy of this extraordinary RPG. Whether enjoyed by avid fans or spirits enthusiasts alike, these limited-edition libations are a true testament to the game's remarkable journey.
