LONDON, Sept. 01, 2016 -- FinalCode, Inc., the innovator in persistent file security, today announced the opening of a new regional headquarters to be based in London. Following the continued expansion of FinalCode, the company also announced the appointment of Jo Below to the role of managing director, Europe.
Previously, Below was sales manager of EMEA for Verint, where he helped enterprises and government organizations enhance data analytics for cybersecurity and business intelligence. An experienced sales leader, Below brings years of enterprise content management (ECM), security and encryption experience to FinalCode. Prior to Verint, he was the commercial business sales director, Western European with ECM vendor ELO Digital Office. Prior to that, he held several positions in the defense industry helping government agencies, such as NATO, deploy FIPS Level 4 IT security infrastructures in sensitive operations theaters including Afghanistan, as well as selling enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to the financial services, manufacturing and retail industries.
“From the Panama Papers and Qatar National Bank data loss incidents to changes in EU and U.S. privacy shields, the evidence and obligations for organizations to protect sensitive information in files exchanged amongst employees, contractors and partners are mounting. By providing an easy, flexible and persistent solution for businesses to secure shared files, FinalCode can help mitigate file leakage risks,” said Below. “FinalCode offers a compelling approach and opportunity. I am excited to join the team and to introduce our award-winning file security solutions to customers and partners throughout Europe.”
He added, “With Panamagate, organizations now recognize the limits of perimeter security and must apply protection at the document level to fully address file leakage risks. FinalCode’s strong AES-256 encryption and granular usage control are designed to achieve this task. Every CSO in private or government organizations should be aware that file-based DRM is possible and affordable, so as to avoid the regrets and impact of a data breach. If sensitive documents are lost, stolen or forwarded, unauthorized recipients will be unable to read them without FinalCode, and it’s as simple as using Microsoft Office tools.”
