Russia’s 2024 agreement to supply Iran with 90 advanced missile launchers surfaced as senior officials met in Moscow to discuss closer cooperation, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing a Russian manufacturer’s documents.

Delivery is unverified: Al Jazeera said it could not confirm whether the order had reached Iran.

Rezaei met Putin in Moscow on Thursday. The Kremlin said Rezaei brought a message from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei and that the visit aimed to advance cooperation between the countries.

Rezaei said the talks covered regional security and arrangements for the postwar period. He also said Russia supported efforts to end what he called U.S. “aggression” against Iran.

The Financial Times cited analysts who said Moscow is weighing support for Tehran against its relationships with the United States and other Middle Eastern countries.
