October adjusted losses in CertiK’s dashboard reached $3.47 billion, the highest monthly total in its series, while Fireblocks put crypto theft so far in 2026 at $9.2 billion across 750 attacks.

Fireblocks gave its annual tally in a LinkedIn post Saturday but did not name a tracker or explain how it calculated the figure.

CertiK’s dashboard, last updated Oct. 31, showed $6.50 billion in total losses across 89 October security incidents. It recorded $3.03 billion in assets that had been frozen or returned, and put adjusted losses at $3.47 billion. The dashboard’s monthly series runs from January 2023 through October 2026.

CertiK provides monthly adjusted figures but no cumulative year-to-date total, so its dashboard does not independently confirm Fireblocks’ $9.2 billion estimate.

In a separate October development, Binance said Oct. 30 that it had set aside more than $6.34 billion in company funds for breach losses. TRM Labs valued the transferred assets at about $6.23 billion at prices current to its report. EconoTimes previously covered Binance’s breach-loss allocation.
