First Solar began operating the first phase of its Gaffney, South Carolina, site on Oct. 28, bringing the later stages of Series 6 Plus module production to the United States.
The site handles later manufacturing work for Series 6 Plus modules that enter production through First Solar’s international network. The facility is valued at approximately $330 million.
