Dutch state-owned bank ABN AMRO together with IBM, Holland FinTech and Linux Foundation for the first Hyperledger Hackathon, scheduled to be held on the 1st-2nd of October in Amsterdam.
The 36-hour hackathon, focused on the Hyperledger technology, is open to all developers, hackers, tech students, local and international blockchain community and FinTech companies. Those interested can register both as hacker (team of max 6 people or as a single individual) and visitor.
The winning teams would receive 110k worth of Bluemix license credits, Virtual Reality Headsets, mini 3d Printers, and drones.
The Hyperledger Project is a collaborative effort created to advance blockchain technology by identifying and addressing important features for a cross-industry open standard for distributed ledgers that can transform the way business transactions are conducted globally.
Launched in 2015, the project has grown to more than 80 members from across multiple industries. FFan Technology under Wanda Group, a Chinese multinational conglomerate and the world's largest commercial properties, sports and film corporation, is the latest to join the project as a Premier member.
