TAMPA, Fla., April 26, 2017 -- ForeSight Medical, a national leader in controlling costs of surgical implants in the workers’ compensation arena, has demonstrated its commitment to data security and privacy by completing a rigorous outside audit of its Service Organization Controls 2 (Type 2) standards.
The meticulous examinations that led to the achievement were administered by the professional IT assurance and compliance staff at 360 Advanced, a respected national Qualified Security Assessor, HITRUST CSF Assessor and CPA firm based in St. Petersburg, FL. 360 Advanced has clients 30 U.S. states, Europe, South and Central America and the Pacific Rim.
The SOC 2 Type 2, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance that provides service organizations a uniform method for disclosing independently assessed information about the design and operation of internal controls.
“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance continues ForeSight Medical on the path to attaining the information-security gold standard,” commented Bill Elliott, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer. “The integrity and confidentiality of personal health information and information security is of utmost importance to our organization, as evidenced by not only SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, but also in the pursuit of HITRUST Certification. As we have earned recognition for compliance in HIPAA, Hi-Tech and ISO 27001, there is no doubt that ForeSight’s dedication to the integrity and confidentiality of our systems is deeply ingrained in our company culture.”
“Foresight Medical’s Compliance Program provides a level of trust to our clients that ensures their information remains secure and protected. At the end of the day, this gives ForeSight Medical a true competitive advantage,” added Alisa Lewis, Director of Compliance.
