Four major technology companies expect their 2026 capital spending to reach as much as $740 billion, with their combined outlook showing the scale of investment planned across the sector.

The forecasts for Meta, Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon together range from $720 billion to $740 billion.

Meta’s new range starts at $135 billion, $5 billion higher than before, and keeps its $145 billion upper end. Microsoft’s 2026 estimate is now about $170 billion, down from $175 billion.

Alphabet’s forecast remains $195 billion to $205 billion, and Amazon’s is about $220 billion. Together with Meta’s and Microsoft’s figures, those estimates make up the projected total range.

Meta reported third-quarter revenue of $64.60 billion, up 26% from a year earlier. Its quarterly capital expenditures were $34.91 billion, including principal payments on finance leases. The company has said it expects returns from AI investments to take longer than returns from its established business, a point covered in EconoTimes’ earlier report on AI spending and technology stocks.
