Four students from Stanford, Yale, UC Berkeley and UCLA have joined YZi Labs’ first Atlas Scout group to review early-stage ventures in Web3, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.

They will help find prospective startups and prepare initial assessments through research and due diligence. YZi Labs retains control of investment decisions.

At its March launch, YZi Labs set a target of five to 10 student recruits from universities worldwide. The initial funding proposal envisioned up to $1 million for early-stage projects in Web3, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
