An Interior Ministry tally given to Radio France counts 83 investigations into alleged misconduct during student protests, all referred to inspectorates overseeing France’s police and gendarmerie.

Franceinfo reported Oct. 30 that the ministry provided the figure to Radio France. The investigations were entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) and the General Inspectorate of the National Gendarmerie (IGGN).

EconoTimes previously covered a United Nations call for investigations into alleged unlawful force at protests in Europe.
