China: December trade balance came at $54.69 billion with exports rising 10.9 percent y/y and imports rising 4.5 percent y/y.

Upcoming:

France: Consumer price inflation report will be published at 7:45 GMT.
Spain: HICP inflation report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
Italy: November industrial output numbers will be released at 9:00 GMT.
Greece: CPI inflation report will be released at 10:00 GMT.
United States: retail sales report will be released at 13:30 GMT, along with consumer price inflation report for December.
Germany: Bundesbank President Weidmann is scheduled to speak at 16:30 GMT.
