Not many economic data and events scheduled for today and all with low to medium volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • Australia: Home loans declined by 0.5 percent in March while investment lending for homes up 0.8 percent.
     
  • China: Urban investment growth rise by 8.9 percent y/y. Industrial production is up 6.5 percent y/y. Retail sales grew by 10.7 percent from a year ago in April.

Upcoming:

  • Japan: Machine tools orders report will be released at 6:00 GMT.
     
  • Switzerland: Producer and import price inflation report will be released at 7:15 GMT.
     
  • Italy: Consumer price inflation report for April will be released at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • Germany: Bundesbank will release a monthly report today.
     
  • Greece: First quarter flash GDP report will be released at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • Portugal: first quarter flash GDP report will be released at 10:00 GMT.
     
  • United States: New York empire state manufacturing index for May will be reported at 12:30 GMT, followed by NAHB house price report at 14:00 GMT. Treasury will release flow report at 20:00 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: Rightmove house price report will be released at 23:00 GMT.
     
  • Auction: U.S. will auction 3-month and 6-month bills at 15:30 GMT.
