Data released so far:
- Australia: Unemployment rate rose by 0.1 percent in December to 5.5 percent as participation rate ticked up by 0.2 percent to 65.7 percent. Employment rose by 34,700.
- China: House price index rose to 5.3 percent in December.
- Japan: Industrial production rose 0.5 percent in November, up 3.6 percent from a year ago.
Upcoming:
- China: December industrial production report, retail sales, fixed asset investments report and fourth quarter GDP numbers will be released at 7:00 GMT.
- United States: Housing starts and building permits report will be released at 13:30 GMT, along with weekly jobless claims report and Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey. EIA will release natural gas inventory report at 15:30 GMT and oil inventory report at 16:00 GMT.
- New Zealand: December business PMI report will be released at 21:30 GMT.
- Auction: U.S. will auction 10-year note at 18:00 GMT. Spain will auction 3-year, 5-year, and 10-year bond today.
