Lots of economic data and events scheduled for today, and some with high volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • Japan: Flash manufacturing PMI declined to 52.5 in September.
     
  • Australia: TD securities inflation up 0.3 percent in September, up 2.1 percent from a year ago.

Upcoming:

  • Germany: Import price inflation report will be released at 6:00 GMT, along with the August retail sales report. Manufacturing PMI report will be released at 7:55 GMT.
     
  • Spain: August retail sales report will be published at 7:00 GMT, followed by manufacturing PMI report at 7:15 GMT.
     
  • Switzerland: Retail sales report will be released at 7:15 GMT, followed by the PMI report at 7:30 GMT.
     
  • Italy: Manufacturing PMI report will be published at 7:45 GMT. Unemployment report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • France: Manufacturing PMI report will be released at 7:50 GMT.
     
  • Eurozone: Manufacturing PMI report will be released at 8:00 GMT. August unemployment report will be released at 9:00 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: M4 money supply report will be released at 8:30 GMT, along with consumer credit report and Manufacturing PMI report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • United States: Manufacturing PMI report will be released at 13:30 GMT, followed by the ISM manufacturing report at 14:00 GMT. FOMC member Bostic is set for a speech at 13:00 GMT, and Rosengren at 16:15 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand: NZIER business confidence report will be published at 21:00 GMT.
