- Australia: Australia private sector credit growth at 4.6 percent y/y in September. CPI inflation is down to 1.9 percent y/y in the third quarter.
- China: Non-manufacturing PMI declined to 53.9 in October from 54.9 in September. The manufacturing PMI declined to 50.2 from 50.8
- Japan: BoJ kept monetary policy unchanged at today’s meeting. Annualized housing starts at 0.943 million in September, down 1.5 percent from a year ago. Construction orders up 1 percent y/y in September. Consumer confidence index declined to 43 in September.
Upcoming:
- Germany: September retail sales report will be published at 7:00 GMT.
- France: CPI inflation report for the month of October will be published at 7:45 GMT.
- Spain: Q3 GDP report will be released at 8:00 GMT, followed by current account balance report at 9:00 GMT.
- Italy: September unemployment report will be released at 9:00 GMT, followed by CPI inflation report at 10:00 GMT.
- Eurozone: Unemployment report will be released at 10:00 GMT, along with CPI inflation report.
- United States: MBA mortgage applications report will be released at 11:00 GMT, followed by ADP employment report at 12:15 GMT, and Chicago PMI report at 13:45 GMT. EIA will release weekly inventory report 14:30 GMT.
- Switzerland: SNB chairman Jordon is set for a speech at 17:15 GMT.
- Canada: BoC governor Poloz is set for a speech at 19:30 GMT.
- Japan: Industrial production report will be released at 20:15 GMT.
