General Motors Company reported third-quarter adjusted diluted earnings of $3.70 per share, 7 cents above estimates, as revenue rose and the midpoint of its full-year profit forecast stayed at $15 billion.

At $50.02 billion, revenue was 2.9% higher than a year earlier and topped estimates by $1.26 billion. Adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 32.1% from $2.80 in the third quarter of 2025.

The per-share result adds to GM's earlier operating earnings report, which showed EBIT-adjusted earnings of $4.106 billion, compared with $3.376 billion a year earlier. A shift toward full-size pickups helped North American margins even as U.S. deliveries declined.

GM shares fell 6.8% on Oct. 20, closing at $77.10. The trading data do not establish what drove investors' decisions.

GM narrowed its 2026 EBIT-adjusted earnings forecast to $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion from $14 billion to $16 billion, leaving the midpoint at $15 billion. For adjusted automotive free cash flow, GM now projects $11.5 billion to $12.5 billion, compared with its previous range of $9.5 billion to $11.5 billion.
