At the 2026 Manama Dialogue, Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, who advises the UAE president on diplomacy, urged political engagement to limit regional conflict and strengthen stability, Gulf News reported.

In his post-session message on X, Gargash portrayed the region as facing a “pivotal moment” and urged political and diplomatic action, Gulf News reported. He also commended Bahrain’s leaders and people for defending the kingdom’s sovereignty.

Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain’s foreign minister, and Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenia’s foreign minister, joined Gargash for a discussion called “Global Security Governance: Inclusion and Agency,” Gulf News reported.

The outlet placed his remarks amid diplomatic efforts to head off a new military clash between the United States and Iran. It said Gargash hoped for a diplomatic breakthrough and that the UAE was ready to safeguard its security and development gains if fighting resumed.

Earlier EconoTimes coverage of Gulf security reports and travel uncertainty described UAE calls for restraint and political solutions.
