Twitter’s latest beta update would provide support for content creators with bitcoin tips using the Tip Jar feature that was introduced earlier this year, according to Macrumors.
While Bitcoin isn’t yet available to select as a tip option for beta users, the code in the beta suggests that Twitter is introducing it.
Users will be directed through a Bitcoin tutorial that includes details on the custodial and non-custodial Bitcoin wallets and Bitcoin Lightning Network, as indicated in the latest Twitter beta.
According to the instruction, a Strike account is required for generating Bitcoin Lightning invoices.
In July, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey hinted that they may integrate bitcoin into several products, including Tip Jar.
The company also pointed out that the services that may be added today include Paypal, Cash App, Bandcamp, Patreon, and Venmo.
Dorsey said Bitcoin is a big part of Twitter’s future, noting that it is the best candidate for the internet's native currency.
