Greek agreement unlikely in May

Another deadline looms for Greece, or at least so it seems. End-May has been portrayed as another deadline for Greece and its creditors to find an agreement; otherwise a default is allegedly unavoidable.

"We would treat the recent comments of a near-term agreement being close with suspicion, as plenty of points of disagreement remain. We find at least a comprehensive agreement highly unlikely during May." notes Nordea Research

A special Eurogroup meeting may well be called for next week, with the hope of at least being able to agree on a temporary funding solution for Greece.
