Not many economic dockets scheduled for today and all with low to medium risks associated. Focus is on FOMC minutes

Data released so far -

  • Australia - Wages grew by 0.6% in third quarter, up 2.3% from a year ago.
  • China - House price index down by -0.1% in October.

Upcoming -  

  • Euro zone - Construction output to be announced at 10:00 GMT for September.

  • Switzerland - Zew Survey expectations to be released at 10:00 GMT.

  • US - MBA mortgage applications to be released at 12:00 GMT, followed by housing starts and building permits for October at 13:30 GMT. FOMC will release minutes at 19:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly inventory report at 15:30 GMT. Several FED speaker scheduled for today, Lockhart at 13:00 GMT, along with Mester and Dudley.

  • Canada - Housing starts data for October to be released at 13:30 GMT.

  • New Zealand - Producer price index to be released 21:45 GMT.

  • Japan - Trade balance for October to be released at 23:50 GMT along with investment statistics.
  • Auctions - UK will auction 10 year bond today.
