  • China - Trade balance for April came at $34.13 billion. Export is down -6.4%, while import is down -16.2%

Upcoming -

  • Switzerland - Unemployment rates to be released at 5:45 GMT followed by CPI release at 7:15 GMT.

  • Germany - Trade balance statistics to be published at 6:00 GMT, along with industrial production.

  • Spain - Industrial output scheduled at 7:00 GMT.

  • UK - Today is tentative release date for Halifax house price index. Focus is on election result. Exit poll is predicting conservative win. Trade balance statistics to be published at 8:30 GMT.

  • Italy -Industrial output data to be released at 8:00 GMT.

  • Greece - Will announce CPI details at 9:00 GMT.

  • India - India would announce Forex reserve details around 11:30 GMT.

  • Canada - Housing starts data is scheduled at 12:15 GMT. Though main focus is on unemployment statistics at 12:30 GMT.

  • US - Data of the month is scheduled today, Non-farm payroll at 12:30 GMT followed by wholesale inventories at 14:00 GMT.
