HUGO BOSS AG lowered its 2026 operating profit forecast after a decline in third-quarter earnings, citing weaker demand expectations as the German apparel group approaches year-end.
The company now puts operating profit between €250 million and €300 million, versus a previous range of €300 million to €350 million. It expects sales adjusted for currency movements to fall by a high-single-digit percentage this year.
Revenue in the quarter ended Sept. 30 declined to €946 million from €989 million a year earlier. Operating profit fell to €81 million from €95 million, while earnings per share slipped to €0.70 from €0.85.
The revised forecast also accounts for higher noncash expenses from depreciation and amortization of IT assets. Chief Executive Officer Daniel Grieder said demand was likely to remain volatile in the fourth quarter.
Membership in HUGO BOSS XP rose 15% from a year earlier to 15 million. Introduced in 2024, the loyalty program combines conventional rewards with digital collectibles supported by blockchain technology. The membership total does not show how many people have collected or used the tokens.
