MarketBeat estimates Halliburton will post $5.58 billion in third-quarter revenue when the oilfield services company reports Tuesday, slightly below the $5.6 billion it recorded a year earlier.
MarketBeat also projects earnings of about $0.58 a share.
Halliburton said its September memorandums of understanding with Eneva and WESCA address possible energy work in Venezuela. The Eneva agreement calls for identifying development opportunities, while the WESCA arrangement covers field evaluation and development planning. Neither is an announced project award.
The company said it has worked in Venezuela for nearly nine decades and has an existing relationship with Eneva in Brazil.
Halliburton holds service contracts in two other countries. Aramco's July award covers stimulation and well-completion services for unconventional gas development in Saudi Arabia's Jafurah Basin. Under a contract announced in August, Halliburton will provide drilling and reservoir evaluation for bp's initial appraisal campaign at the Bumerangue field off Brazil.
Halliburton plans to publish its quarterly figures before a Tuesday conference call at 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC).
