Harbinger has raised $240 million to lift output of its medium-duty vehicles and widen its industrial business, bringing new capital for expansion into energy, defense, power generation and software.

Harbinger announced the Series D on Nov. 5. Tiger Global, Ridgeline and Capricorn’s Technology Impact Fund shared the lead roles, the company said. It did not disclose the round’s valuation or investment terms.

Other participants included Fidelity Management & Research Company, Squarepoint Capital, Xantium, Maniv, Australian Gulf Capital, PanaceaVC, ArcTern Ventures, Leitmotif and Greycroft. FedEx and THOR Industries invested through TechNexus, while BuildGroup invested in Harbinger’s data center business. The company said more investors joined.

Harbinger said the financing will fund higher output of its medium-duty platform and growth in defense, power generation, autonomy software, energy storage systems and commercial vehicles. The announcement did not specify how the money would be divided among those areas. Taken together, the plans reach beyond truck production into energy, software and defense markets.

The company said its total fundraising since its founding now exceeds $650 million. The new round follows a $160 million Series C announced in November 2025, when FedEx, Capricorn’s Technology Impact Fund and THOR Industries shared lead roles.

Harbinger described electrification as increasingly important across industry, defense, mobility and AI. Co-founder and CEO John Harris said, “Electrification is at the core of everything we do.” Tiger Global partner Griffin Schroeder said the firm believes Harbinger can apply its technical and production expertise in additional markets.

Harbinger has also reported that FedEx ordered 2,000 all-electric trucks, which the company values at more than $300 million. Deliveries are planned by the end of 2027, according to Harbinger.
