Yemen’s Houthis said Oct. 19 they had carried out six missile and drone operations targeting Saudi oil facilities and airports over the preceding 48 hours, while Reuters reported no immediate Saudi confirmation.

The group named Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu, the Shaybah oil field, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport. Its statement also listed Khamis Mushait Air Base, radar sites and a Saudi naval task force camp. The Houthis said they used ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones.

The Houthis described the operations as retaliation for Saudi strikes in Yemen and said their campaign would continue. Saudi Arabia backs Yemen’s internationally recognized government amid renewed fighting in Yemen.

The latest claims are separate from earlier attacks confirmed by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation. The authority said two attacks on King Khalid International Airport on Oct. 8 killed three Saudi citizens and injured others.

Separately, the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute said it had postponed its Riyadh conference, scheduled for Oct. 26-29, 2026, until 2027. The organizer did not cite the Houthi claims as the reason. It said existing registrations and partnerships remain valid and that it would announce new dates.
