Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed a two-stage drone attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and military spokesman Yahya Saree said air traffic was disrupted, Hindustan Times reported, citing AFP.

Saree’s account involved two drones in separate phases across a 48-hour period leading up to his statement, the newspaper reported. Saudi Arabia had not confirmed the claim by the time of Hindustan Times’ Nov. 2 report.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reported a separate attack at the airport on Oct. 21. It initially reported one death and eight injuries, then confirmed two deaths in a follow-up statement the next day. GACA identified those killed as a Saudi citizen and an Indian resident, and said airport operations had resumed and air traffic had returned to normal. EconoTimes previously reported on the Oct. 21 attack and the airport’s return to normal operations.
