Huawei unveiled an upgraded network portfolio for European businesses Thursday, Oct. 15, making capacity, cost and security claims for data centers, wide-area systems and campuses as AI use expands.
More than 600 industry representatives attended the Huawei Network Summit 2026 Europe in Florence, Huawei said. Held during HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, the event featured the updated Stellar Intelligent Network Solution, which includes Stellar Intelligent Fabric for data centers, Stellar Intelligent WAN and Stellar Intelligent Campus Network.
For data centers, Huawei says its own 100T switches are arranged in two layers that distribute traffic across multiple planes. The company says this design quadruples network scale while requiring 30% fewer switches and optical modules. Huawei also credits its Network Packet Load Balancing (NPLB) algorithm with lifting network-wide link utilization to 98% and improving AI training and inference performance by more than 7%.
For wide-area networks, Huawei says its Starnet lossless algorithm delivers more than 95% cross-region computing efficiency and reduces private-line costs by 60%. The company also claims a built-in quantum key distribution board lowers deployment costs by more than 60%, but did not specify the comparison baseline or period for that estimate.
Huawei says coordinating multiple access points with dynamic-zoom smart antennas reduces campus wireless interference by 84%. It also claims its 10 Gbps campus systems cut total ownership costs by more than 30% and bring mean time to repair below five minutes. The company says the systems deliver twice the industry average for networking performance, without defining that benchmark.
The package includes security features Huawei says can shorten threat detection from five minutes to under 10 seconds through local inference on switches. The company also says its wide-area security board blocks intrusions in real time and traces threats with more than 95% accuracy. For small and medium-sized businesses, Huawei introduced Aura10/AR580 gateways, S630 core switches and AP362H access points.
Leon Wang, president of Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, said networks “must become AI-Centric.” German technology publication Golem identified products from Cisco, Arista Networks and HPE as competitors in enterprise and data-center networking. Huawei did not detail test conditions or comparison baselines for its performance and savings figures.
