HRT has become both a Kalshi backer and trader, using the exchange for contracts tied to short-term asset-price moves.

HRT took part in Kalshi’s $1 billion funding round, which valued the company at $40 billion.

HRT’s futures group oversees its Kalshi operation, which began roughly a month ago. Contracts are resolved by how the referenced asset moves over a short interval. The firm has not traded sports or other nonfinancial events on the platform.

Jump Trading and Susquehanna International Group also have a presence in prediction markets. Talos has separately added Kalshi contract trading to its institutional platform, as EconoTimes previously reported.
