Add as a preferred source on GoogleHyperliquid’s open interest reached about $13 billion, while Lighter, Variational and Aster also recorded gains.
In Q3 2026, Hyperliquid’s open interest stood at about $13 billion. That put the platform at roughly 53% of open interest across perpetual decentralized exchanges, with its figure more than twice its earlier level.
Lighter recorded the largest percentage increase among three other named venues, at 107%. Variational’s open interest rose 78%, while Aster’s increased 66%.
The seven-day group’s reported long share rose to 11% from 8%, but changing rankings do not show whether individual traders changed positions.
The same snapshot put the 24-hour cohort at 82% short.
HYPE traded at $81.383 early Oct. 21, about 17% below its Sept. 23 record.
