Hyperliquid Labs co-founder and CEO Jeff Yan says companies that configure markets on the network should carry U.S. regulatory obligations, tying oversight to the operational responsibilities assigned under HIP-3.

Under HIP-3, a deployer defines markets, sets oracle parameters and leverage limits, and handles settlement. A mainnet deployer must stake 500,000 Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens to launch one perpetual exchange.

Entropy’s ANTH contract is one example of a HIP-3 market. EconoTimes previously reported that its maximum leverage is six times.

Yan’s proposal remains a policy position and has not become a U.S. rule.
