Hyperliquid’s EWZ Contract Is Separate From U.S.-Listed ETF Shares

Earlier EconoTimes coverage described a contract decline after President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s runoff win and before regular U.S. trading in EWZ shares began.

A Hyperliquid perpetual contract tied to the iShares MSCI Brazil ETF (EWZ) is separate from the fund’s U.S.-listed shares, a distinction that matters when interpreting activity in the two markets.

The contract references the fund, which holds Brazilian stocks, while EWZ shares trade as an ETF in the United States.

An earlier EconoTimes report on the contract described a decline after President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s runoff win.

That earlier contract movement preceded regular U.S. trading in EWZ shares.

EconoTimes separately covered a 26% decline in the Brazil-focused ETF’s shares, a move involving the fund itself rather than the Hyperliquid contract.
