Hyundai Motor India Limited’s monthly releases show total sales of 219,072 vehicles in July-September, including domestic sales and exports, while a 12-broker forecast points to a 21% year-over-year net-profit decline that puts the focus on whether higher volume can offset cost pressure.

The company’s board is scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 28, to consider unaudited standalone and consolidated results for Q2 FY27 and the half year ended Sept. 30, 2026. The forecast is not a reported result.

Informist reported that the average of 12 brokerage estimates puts consolidated revenue at INR 204.65 billion, up 17% from a year earlier. The same survey projects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of INR 19.96 billion, down 18%, and net profit of INR 12.41 billion, down 21%. Informist said the profit estimate would mean a third straight quarterly decline, while projected revenue growth would be the first double-digit rise in nine quarters.

Hyundai’s releases list total sales of 75,360 in July, 65,796 in August and 77,916 in September. Informist reported that analysts see volume gains, higher pricing and sales-mix changes as possible revenue supports; brokers also pointed to exports and currency movements. Those expectations have not been confirmed by the results.

Margins are forecast to weaken as costs rise. The estimates assembled by Informist imply a year-over-year EBITDA-margin decline of 3.86 to 4.4 percentage points. Kotak Securities put the margin at 9.7%, a 4.2-point drop, and cited commodity expenses, costs tied to the Pune plant start-up and increased discounts. Informist said Kotak viewed scale benefits, spending cuts and price rises as potential cushions.

Hyundai reported a 13.9% EBITDA margin in Q2 FY26. After releasing Q1 FY27 results, the company set full-year guidance for an 11% to 14% EBITDA margin and 8% to 10% growth in both domestic sales and exports. It said temporary production disruptions limited domestic volume growth to 5.4% in Q1, while exports were affected by the West Asia conflict.

Hyundai’s investor call on Q2 results is scheduled for 7 a.m. EDT (11 a.m. UTC; 4:30 p.m. IST) Wednesday, Oct. 28.
