IMCD N.V. (IMCD), a Rotterdam-based distributor and formulator of specialty chemicals and ingredients, reported faster growth in earnings before interest, taxes and amortization than revenue at constant exchange rates for the first nine months of 2026.
EBITA totaled EUR 425 million, up 11% on a constant-currency basis and 8% as reported, the company said Thursday. Revenue reached EUR 3.965 billion, an increase of 10% on a constant-currency basis.
On the constant-currency figures, EBITA growth exceeded revenue growth by one percentage point. EBITA’s reported increase was three percentage points below its currency-adjusted rate, giving two different views of the earnings change.
Gross profit rose 9% at constant exchange rates to EUR 991 million, while net result increased 20% on the same basis to EUR 211 million. Among the four measures with constant-currency growth rates, net result had the largest increase and gross profit the smallest; revenue and EBITA rose 10% and 11%, respectively.
Free cash flow rose 12% to EUR 317 million for the nine-month period, compared with EUR 284 million in the first nine months of 2025. Cash earnings per share were EUR 4.73, up from EUR 4.16 a year earlier.
The release used constant-currency growth rates for revenue, gross profit, EBITA and net result. It presented free cash flow and cash earnings per share as current-period amounts alongside year-earlier figures, giving those measures a different comparison format.
Chief Executive Officer Marcus Jordan said organic EBITA was 14% higher in the third quarter, with growth spanning every region. He said IMCD expects organic EBITA to increase for the full year, but gave no percentage target. Jordan also cited ongoing commercial, operational and digital initiatives.
