Amaka Ibeji, founder of digital trust and assurance company PALS Hub, used a Nov. 6 BusinessDay opinion column to frame AI governance as a potential source of competitive advantage for companies.

She cited Boston Consulting Group (BCG)’s 2026 Applied AI Index. The column presents the index as challenging the premise that governance and AI innovation cannot advance together.

In an earlier column on board oversight under pressure, Ibeji asked whether employees can raise concerns safely, whether those concerns reach leaders able to respond and whether companies can reconsider AI approvals when business pressure builds.
