“As a Women-Led Business ourselves, it was very important for us to create this list in support of other Women-Led Businesses. We spent 18 months researching companies and interviewing CEOs and Partners across the United States. We are incredibly proud to present those companies that made the final cut.” - Sara Farkas, Director of Strategic Development at Ivy Exec
In total, 25 companies are ranked among the Disruptors and Established categories. To view the complete list of 2017 Women-Led Businesses to Work For, plus company profiles and employee reviews for each company, visit here.

To compile the list, Ivy Exec surveyed thousands of professionals across various industries to discover companies that are innovative, disruptive, and have strong female leadership. We narrowed down our list of nominated companies then asked participants to identify the best companies to work for within the industry in the coming year. Companies were divided into two groups according to the year they were established – companies founded before 2000 were classified as Established and those founded after 2000 were classified as Disruptive.
Each of these companies was then scored according to: the number of votes it received, a proprietary Market Index formula developed by the Ivy Exec’s Research Team, and a “grade” based on insights collected from current and former company reviews. For these company reviews, employees rate companies based on five factors: Work, Culture, Money, Leadership, and Prestige.
Other top-ranked Women-Led Businesses include: Mighteor, Dynamic Pro Inc, CBPartners, Nona Lim and aden + anais.
As well as rating the companies, professionals included personal reviews on the five aforementioned metrics. For example, one S’well Bottle employee weighed in, “The culture at S'well is simply amazing. The team is smart and collaborative with a work hard, play hard mentality and leadership is constantly striving to find new ways to make the culture even better. It makes it easy to jump out of bed to go to work in the morning.”
Ivy Exec has posted employee feedback on each firm’s Company Profile page, which can be found by clicking on a company’s name on the ranking list.
