Al Jazeera reported that officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkiye met Iran's president and security chief in Tehran and agreed to continue talks, while a vessel burned off Iraq.

Tehran also accused Washington of not taking negotiations seriously, according to Al Jazeera.

Al Jazeera identified the visiting officials as members of the newly formed Mecca Alliance. The report did not give a timetable for another round of talks.

UKMTO separately reported a vessel fire about 63 nautical miles (117 kilometers) southeast of al-Faw, Iraq, Al Jazeera said. The outlet gave no details about the vessel or what caused the fire.
