Anadolu Agency reported that a Qatari delegation may travel to Iran amid efforts to prevent renewed fighting, while Reuters separately reported the end of Iran’s talks with Qatari mediators in Doha.

Reuters cited an unnamed official who said Iranian representatives had completed a round of discussions with Qatari mediators in Doha on Sunday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi was in Doha to relay messages to Washington through Qatari intermediaries.

EconoTimes previously reported on a Qatari delegation’s arrival in Tehran during the U.S.-Iran deal effort. Earlier Reuters reporting described disagreement over whether nuclear issues or sanctions should come first in a potential agreement.

The Associated Press reported that Qatar and Pakistan helped negotiate a June arrangement linking the reopening of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and an end to the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports with broader settlement talks. The agency said that arrangement collapsed after attacks resumed.

The official cited by Reuters said another meeting remained possible.
