Bill Ackman, founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, said an Israeli company could reach a $1 trillion market capitalization within five years, a forecast Reuters reported from a summit in Tel Aviv.

Reuters said Ackman also compared the outlook with a 10-year horizon and would be surprised if the milestone took longer than five years. The outlet described his view that Israel’s technology sector has matured, with entrepreneurs increasingly choosing to grow their companies instead of selling early to multinational firms.

The ARC Summit’s official agenda lists a fireside chat on Oct. 22 between Ackman and Sheba Medical Center Director General Prof. Yitshak Kreiss.

In separate coverage, CTech reported that Ackman sees Israel’s small population as a potential advantage in the artificial intelligence era because of the concentration of talent. “What matters today is the concentration of talent within the country,” he said, according to CTech. The outlet also reported his view that Israel will become one of the world’s best economies.

Ackman made a similar prediction at EY Israel’s Journey Conference on Sept. 9, 2025, CTech reported. He also criticized Israeli founders for selling companies too early, saying, “The mistake that Israelis make is selling their companies too soon.”

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange said in a Jan. 24, 2024, release that Ackman and Neri Oxman had agreed to buy approximately 4.9% of its shares through a secondary offering.
