Italian preliminary economic growth unchanged sequentially in Q3, slows down year-on-year

The preliminary Italian economic growth remained the same in the third quarter on a sequential basis, whereas it slowed down on a year-on-year basis. According to Istat, the economy, on a year-on-year basis, grew 0.8 percent, a deceleration from 1.2 percent seen in the second quarter year-on-year.

The sequential change is due to a rise in value added in agriculture, forestry and fishing. There was also a rise in services and fall in industry. From the demand side, there is no contribution by both the domestic component and the next export component.
