Jacquemus has officially confirmed its collaboration with Nike on the Air Max 1, unveiling three colorways. Meanwhile, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro "University Red" offers a striking blend of red and white, set for an autumn release.
Leaked Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 Prototypes Unveiled, Featuring Unique Design Modifications
Recently leaked images from @Carterwangchina on Instagram depict two unreleased Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 collaboration prototype versions. According to Complex, the fashion house led by Simon Porte Jacquemus has modified the upper of the timeless Air Max design by incorporating a quilted sock liner, eliminating the midfoot overlay panel, and implementing a squared-off toebox. In addition, the midfoot features the characteristic mini Swoosh logo of Jacquemus.
One pair is rendered in a color scheme consisting primarily of white, whereas the other is silver and navy in hue. Additionally, a co-branded hangtag depicting the upper of the respective colorways is included with the sneakers.
Jacquemus and Nike collaborated with Humara to issue their inaugural sneaker collection in June 2022. A year later, the two individuals released a revised iteration of the Air Force 1, christening J Force 1.
While we've been given a tantalizing glimpse into the Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 project, the collaborators are keeping us on the edge of our seats, yet to reveal the much-anticipated release information.
After the revelation of leaked images months ago, Jacquemus has formally introduced its Air Max 1 collection. The fashion label affirmed three colorways of the project in its most recent images, one of which was a red pair that had not been seen before. Although the collection's official release date has yet to be disclosed, all three Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 designs will be available at Jacquemus.com for 180 euros, equivalent to $195.
Nike Kobe 8 Protro 'University Red' Set for Autumn Release, Celebrating Basketball Legacy
As far back as basketball footwear, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro has been among the most sought-after. The revival of the renowned Nike Kobe line has allowed basketball, Swoosh, and Black Mamba enthusiasts to form a sense of community, resulting in the resurgence of several new Kobe 8 Protros later this year, per Hypebeast.
Among them is the renowned "University Red" variant. Predicted to debut in a timeless university red and white color scheme, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will feature color blocking that is both understated and arresting. The updated design incorporates elements from the Team Bank editions, featuring an engineered mesh upper in vibrant red.
White embellishments, including the Kobe branding, signature on the tongue, heel, and heel counter, and the Swoosh logo, complete the look. Aside from that, the shoe is completed by a white React cushioned midsole and outsole, which contrast with the red tongues, laces, and interior lining.
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro "University Red" is scheduled to drop this autumn for USD 190 at select retailers and on the Nike website.
